Studies of the Robert-Koch-Institute (KRINKO, German Commission for Hospital Hygiene and Infection Prevention, from 06/2014) have shown, that bacterial contamination is transmitted to a high degree by hands. Therefore, hand hygiene is an urgent measure in order to prevent and avoid hospital-acquired infections. The CLIC single-use hygiene handle for I.V. poles increases the infection protection in the interest of the patient.
Each patient who requires an I.V. pole receives a CLIC single-use hygiene handle when stationary recorded in hospital. It will remain in possession of the patient during the entire period of hospital stay. Due to the composition of biodegradable natural substances, it can be disposed of as biological waste. The CLIC single-use hygiene handle is used as disposable product per patient. The solid CLIC single-use hygiene handle can easily be attached to and removed from the I.V. pole with a simple turning motion. The item is available for all common pole diameters.
Hospital efficiency tests have shown, that I.V. poles with a high weight load (about 20 kg), can be moved by the patient with the CLIC single-use hygiene handle without any problems. Even obstacles on the ground, like the base gap in front of the elevator door, door mats etc. can easily be overruned without any physical effort. The CLIC single-use hygiene handle can be rotated by 360 degrees on the I.V. pole.
For “little patients” and wheelchair users, the entire handle will be turned by 180 degrees. Thus, both groups have a better grip angle and can easily move the I.V. pole. The function of the CLIC single-use hygiene handle is not affected by this rotation.
